Bosch VE drive hub removal and install

Step 1 - Remove your existing injection pump in its LOCKED state (Using the timing lock).

Step 2 - remove the retaining nut from your existing injection pump.

 

Step 3 - Remove the anti-lock tab plate.

 

Step 4 - Remove the hub from your existing injection pump. This may require a light tap with a hammer or a puller.

 

Step 5 - Carefully locate the hub onto your new injection pump by aligning it with a Tdi timing pin through the hub slot and into the injection pump housing hole.

 

Step 6 - Apply 2-3 drops of green/blue locktite to the middle of the nut (mid way on the threads).

 

Step 7 - secure nut onto the end of the pump shaft and torque to 65nm (48ft-lbs).

 

Step 8 - Assemble the new injection pump into the timing case, remembering to screw out the pump timing lock bolt( to insert the anti-lock tab) before tightening the lock bolt back down.
